Meet the editorial team

Matthew Spittler, left, 28, is the senior writer for The Longleaf. Spittler manages the administrative side of the publication and acts as the head for our volunteer contributors.
Spittler is a supervisor at the Bay County Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, and in his free time enjoys exploring local history and analyzing pop culture.
Dylan Gentile, right, 26, is the editor of The Longleaf. Gentile leads the creative direction and executes the vision of the publication.
Gentile is a breaking/trending news reporter at the Panama City News Herald. In his free time, he enjoys nature photography in the area's forests and has a passion for emerging technology.
Together, they steer the efforts and creativity of contributors into a unique and truly local publication.
They are both unpaid and could use a little help.
